hmmm

signs of talent, decent drawings although they arent very complex, the animation and motion wasnt very good though, and chosing moves kind of slowed down the pace of the movie, either make it a movie or a game but dont go betwee, i learned that with my second movie. good job though, just work on motion and drawings some more.

Prof3ssor-b3an responds:

I'm not sure why it slows down the pace, I think its cool to have an interactive movie instead of a full on game. I've figured out more fluid motion so my next episode will contain much more fast paced fights and the plotline will progress nicely, with some new faces of course. I've decided to do a DnB/Hard NRG soundtrack, and I've begun scanning in my drawings so they look cooler. P e a C e

welll

i like most of your drawings, until i saw the last couple i was thinking you need to do some more shading, japanese art these days is completely flat colors, its like so pop american. But you did have a few with some good shades. Another minor complaint, yes im going to be picky since these were drawn on paper, is that you got proportions way of, hands were really small, some of the women had hips bigger then j'lo. and the guys muscles on their legs seemed out of place, all lined on the front like that. Otherwise nice drawings. lookin forwere to the next one.

ReccaTW responds:

Thanx I really like CONSRUCTIVE critasism ^_^

but i agree sometimes my proprotions are off but hey....that's how i felt at the time.....next one will be up soon ^_^ later

Thanks a lot, dude. Comments like that are what keep me posting here instead of hogging everything for my own site :)

NEOTROPIC9 responds:

Thanks for the good review. I will work on a storyline, plus expect sequels, continuity and character profiles.

hey not bad

with only 500k, you should make a long clay movie, with a plot and music and characters and everything, thad be sweet.

PriKedELiK responds:

ehy man
here u can see 45 frames 150x113, jpeg quality 2, whith 3 sounds... this u can have for 500k, and no more.

hmm pretty cool

i loved that sound clip. you do need to brush up on drawing effort a bit, i think with your creativity you can do better then that. otherwise it looks quite nice, i wonder if youll continue the story at all.

MaxxRafen responds:

If you read this you should probably see the movie again... it wouls answer all your questions and probably leave you a bit more satisfied with the art...
Also notice that the snow never falls in the same place twice!

im becoming a big fan of yours thistler

you pretty much rule the 50 - 100 portal entries. and your style is great. i wont ever pull something this good off, my only complaint is that it ended a bit prematurely, when i least expected it and was like " damn i wanna see more"
2 questions id appreciate answered, by author response, email , aim or whatever you prefer.

1) whats that awesome guitar rif called?
2) what kind of bad feedback are you getting?

Great job once again. and good luck with your next production.

thistler responds:

hey :) i'm sorry it ended so quickly, that's probably my biggest regret with that cartoon. to answer your questions:

1) the guitar was done straight from an electric guitar into my pc. i got my friend CW Stoneking to play for me. All i asked was for some 80's riffs and he just made it all up on the spot.

2) the main bad feedback would be that it's too short. Also that the guitar sounds fuzzy, which is my fault, because if CW knew he'd be doing the music for me, he wouldve brought his own equipment.

thanks for your kind words, and i plan to make the next big production kick ass. I'll be submitting a demo into the Alphas section in the next couple of weeks :)

i hate you

a simple flash tutorial put together and you have a 3.36...punk!, anyways the loading bar will help me but they have that tutorial here onng also.. easy way to get a high score :|:|:| , i hate you ;););)

svn11 responds:

Ugh, I SERIOUSLY hope people don't think I am doing this to get a high score or anything.. The ONLY reason I would like for this to get a high score is so that newbies can continue to see it.. I wish Tom would put these into a section to help everyone .. that way they could be seen, but not take votes away from really decent portal movies. :/
My goal here is to try to help clean up Portal and provide Newgrounds with better quality of artists :) That's it.. I hope other people take this up as well.. the more people willing to share information, the better this place will get.

very nice

wow someone who can do backround drawings, what a concept, good jbo dude, thats a pretty heavy file size but that ddoesnt affect scoring, or shouldnt at least. i have that theme, its pretty cool. good drawings, decent motion. i like :):):)

TylerMProductions responds:

thanks i know the size is pretty big bug i tried to compress it a bit down from like 3000k to 2200k but i know i probably should have more thx for the feedback

god i love frame bye frame

and its obviously quite popular here on ng, if you have a stick animation with good movement your bound to get at least a 2.5 but this was better, it was an original concept, simple animation and drawing, good movement, its just something slightly new, i like. <<thrusts his gold knuckles into the three, boosting the score to a 2.75

TheDascman responds:

Actually when I saw it last night it was a 3.20! But alas.

I hadn't logged onto this account since around 2002. There ya go.
